Laurie Sloan is an Associate Professor of Art at the University of Connecticut. Her B.F.A. degree is from Miami University, Oxford, OH, and her M.F.A. degree is from Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia, PA and Rome, Italy. Her work has been shown widely in the United States and abroad, including recent exhibitions at the Manhattan Graphic Arts Center, Northern Arizona University, the International Print Center, NY, and Real Art Ways in Hartford, CT. Sloan’s artwork is in over 25 museum and university gallery collections such as the DeCordova Museum, The Bibliothèque Nationale, UCLA Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts and Bucknell University. She has been an invited visiting artist at several institutions including the University of Alberta Edmonton, Massachusetts College of Art, and the University of Tennessee.
